VIPASSANA MEDITATION CLASS
(basic course 15 days) in December 2018
Purposes: Discerning and Understanding of Nama and Rupa (Mind and Body)
Time: 15 continuous days of intensive retreat, from 7th to 22nd December 2018
Venue: Tue Tam Meditation Centre, Hochiminh city, Vietnam
Requirements: from the best experience of all previous meditation courses, practitioners are advised:
- 1. To observe strict noble silence during the 15 days of practice, no verbal or body gestures, gender segregation.
- 2. No communication devices, newspapers, phone, valuable items.
- 3. Listening and practising according to the instructions at the time tables.
- 4. Only one main simple nutritious vegetarian meal at lunch time is provided. Light breakfast is available. No dinner.
- 5. Practitioners are encouraged to reduce sleeping time to 4 hours per day
- 6. To have a strong determination to complete the full 15 days of the training course.
- 7. Different gender shall observe stricly segregation and separation in all means verbal, gestures, body language, signs, etc…
- 8. To bring 2 pairs of appropriate clothes for meditation as washing meditation shall apply daily. If in doubts, please ask the instructor at the time of registration.
Facilities: room, meals, juices, bed, toilette papers, shampoo, tooth creams and printed dhamma lectures and meditation instructions are provided free for all practitioners in 15 days. No payment shall be required by the practitioners. Donation without understanding and commitment to practice is not accepted.

DAILY PRACTICE PROGRAM
Similar programs for every day unless prior specific announcements for specific times and dates.
3.00AM – wake up bell, personal cleaning in 20 minutes.
3.30 AM instruction and mindful walking meditation 30 minutes
4.00 AM instruction and meditation 60 minutes
5.00 AM chanting to pay respect to the triple gems , taking refuge in triple gems and observing 8 precepts for lay persons.
5.30 AM 20 minutes for listening to the chanting of Mangala Sutta/ Reflection .
6.00 AM domestic caring and cleaning process for good health and cleaniness.
6.30 AM simple light breakfast 20 minutes if needed.
7.00 AM to 10.00 AM instruction and then continuous meditation 3 hours, interchangeably betwen walking and sitting meditation, for which 1 hour sitting and 30 minute walking will be repeated.
10.00 AM a Dhamma talk relating to the Nama and Rupa Meditation
11.00 AM instruction for mindful meditation in eating luncheon and consuming lunch for 45 minutes
12.00 AM each practitioner shall be allowed 5 minutes for asking the teachers; of which the total time shall be limited to maximum 15 minutes, prior registration for questions needed.
12.00 PM instruction for mindfulness in break sessions, cleaning, personal matters in strict silence for 60 minutes
1.00 PM – 5.00 PM instruction and sitting meditation 4 hours
5.00 PM Language class to be delivered by Ven Chakma to assist yogis in morning/evening chanting in Pali and English.
6.00 PM refreshment in or about 20 minutes (no eating)
7.00 PM – 8.30 PM instruction and meditation 60 minutes inclusive of sitting and walking meditation.
8.30 PM – 9.00 PM Metta chanting in the evenings
9.00 PM – 9.30 PM Short dialogue on the relevant meditative Dhamma
10.00 PM rest or private meditation at choice.
Dhamma Talk Program
From day 1 to day 13, the dhamma discussions shall focus on The meditation practice of discerning Nama and Rupa .
Day 14 Dhamma Topic: Vipassana in every moment of Daily Life. Practice the technique of Equanimity
Day 15: Metta meditation.
Morning, breakfast and practice of Four Boddhi-citta, cleaning, washing , Farewell to Dhamma friends. Practising the Equanimity in daily life meditation.

I shall comply with all regulations and instructions specified by the Course Committee during the 21 day course, and shall complete the full 21 day course according to the schedule.
